The Coliseum City proposal sent out by Floyd Kephart and New City Development LLC has a provision for the company to buy 20 percent of the Raiders. Mr Kephart also wants the City to add a public investment – else the deal can’t get done.

Thus, Oakland and Alameda County taxpayers would wind up making Kephart (not Raiders fans) an Oakland Raiders owner. Wow.

My proposal – the one the media has ignored to this point – doesn’t do that. It’s shameful that any elected official would allow this.
