Ray McDonald Aldon Smith Drinking Story Looks Fishy

The story of Ray McDonald’s sexual assault has some holes. First, there’s a rush to judgement that fellow San Francisco 49ers DE / LB Aldon Smith had alcohol, as opposed to “was drinking” with Ray McDonald and the woman who later accused him of sexual assault.
First, the San Jose Mercury News reports that the woman claimed she met Ray McDonald while out “with friends” and then left the Deer Creek Valley Inn with him, after meeting him there. The last time I checked, a woman did not leave a bar with a man unless she intended to have sex with him.
She then fell and hit her head on the ground at his place, or so she claims. Then she says that she woke up and she was naked in his bed. and he said they had sex. According to the news report, Ray had put her in his bed and he let her sleep in his bed because she was tired. Then they had sex. Ray not only says it was consensual, but repeated that in a text message that he thought came from the woman, when it came from a police officer.
The report also said that the two went to “drive to the store with him to buy vodka and cranberry juice.”
The other problem is with Aldon Smith. She says that she was drinking with Ray and Aldon Smith. But she did not say that Alson Smith was drinking alcohol, so there’s too much of a rush to judgement here. First, was it true that Aldon Smith was even at Ray’s home? Second, given the holes in the woman’s story, can we believe her regarding Aldon Smith?
This sounds too much like the Colin Kaepernick problem of earlier this year where a woman accused him of sexual assault – that was dismissed too. There’s too much of this sort of thing going on – so much so that we have to start questioning what’s going on with women who abuse substances and then tell lies about the situations, when it involves black male football players.
But the bottom line is Ray McDonald should not have cheated on his wife.
