After I met Olympian Michael Phelps in 2008 (and thanks to Beth Schnitzer and Chrissy Delisle), I was so impressed with how nice a person he was that I made a video calling him a “Cool Muthafucka,” and because I’d met another athlete, Braylon Edwards, the NFL wide receiver, who was just down right rude to me for no reason at all at the 2008 NFL Draft.
Today, four years later, it’s nice to note that Phelps is not only apparently still cool, but winning. He’s gained medals in three Olympics, which is unheard of. And he’s now the most decorated Olympian of all time with 20 medals.
Nice work, Michael! You deserve it!
