Kentucky Derby 2012: I’ll Have Another Wins First For Mario Gutierrez

Just a moment ago, I’ll Have Another (shown at Santa Anita) caught up to Bodemeister, which had a five length lead, and won the 134th Kentucky Derby. Here’s the list of horses that participated and their odds:

It was Derby newcomer Mario Gutierrez, who jockeyed I’ll Have Another, who scored his first win. Afterward, he told NBC sports that he thanked everyone in both Mexico and in Vancouver, BC, where he raced at Hastings Park for six years.
