As Oakland Lakeshore Business Improvement District head, I, Pam Drake, went out to survey the business owners along Lakeshore and around Oakland. All want free holiday parking for the Christmas shopping season.
Hopefully the City of Oakland hears the wishes of the many merchants and shoppers of Oakland and allows this. Too many good Oakland citizens have been victimized by the over-aggressive parking policies of the last three years.
Be sure, when you’re in Oakland, to shop in Oakland! Our city needs the dollars to keep our services going for the next year, at least.
